Hours:  Part-time – Mon, Tues, Wed – (21 hours per week). Hybrid working available once fully trained

Responsible to: Head Cashier

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Posting of all financial transactions to purchase, nominal and sales ledger
  • Taking payments from clients over the phone
  • Answering staff and client queries around ledgers
  • Monitoring online banking and quickly informing legal staff when client money arrives.
  • Sending monies to clients and other solicitors to facilitate the clients matter being dealt with in a timely way
  • Reconciliations of client funds and Tinsdills ledgers
  • Performance of day-end and monthly reconciliations
  • Monitoring of financial transactions to ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Assistance with Anti Money Laundering compliance checks

Experience and Training: 

Previous Accounts experience is a must.  Experience in the accounts department of a legal practice would be an advantage but is not essential as long as you can demonstrate accounting experience. Appropriate training and support will be provided

Your Skills:

  • As a member of a small team you will need to work in an accurate way under time pressures;
  • You will need to be a good communicator in a team environment, be highly numerate and have good IT skills
  • efficient time management - you are able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively;

We are recruiting for a Private Client Lawyer to play a key role in our continued growth and development.

You must be an experienced and enthusiastic lawyer with the ability to handle a broad range of matters and able to work largely unsupervised. You must be fully computer literate and familiarity with case management systems would be advantageous. This role does have secretarial support. 

The successful candidate will cover all areas of private client wills and probate work and the position provides an opportunity for significant personal and professional development. The ability to work effectively with clients and their external advisers is essential.

You must have excellent technical and organisational skills and the desire to provide high levels of client service at all times. This role will also include marketing, networking and the active promotion of the firm.  The ability and enthusiasm to promote yourself and the business would be beneficial in any application.

The successful candidate will be personable, self-motivated and flexible with a strong desire to set and achieve high personal and business standards.  This is a hands-on role suited to a driven lawyer seeking career progression.

Responsible to: Conveyancer and Head of Department

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

  • assisting a Residential Property Lawyer;
  • efficient handling of a busy varied caseload including all types of residential conveyancing matters;
  • working as part of an experienced team and making a positive contribution;
  • meeting and getting to know clients and maintaining high levels of client service;
  • liaising with other agencies including estate agents, other parties’ solicitors, search agencies, mortgage lenders, brokers etc.;
  • maintaining high professional standards of competence and financial integrity;
  • keeping up to date with legal developments, including compliance with CQS and continuing professional and development requirements;
  • engaging in marketing activities to promote and develop the firm’s presence both locally and further afield.

Experience and Training: 2yrs+ experience in a similar post is essential.
