Holiday Resort Slip Back Injury Claim

Our client was on a UK holiday and was walking through the resort. She had walked down a few steps and onto a tiled floor when she slipped on water causing her to fall, hitting her back on the steps.

Liability was denied by the holiday company, they disputed that they allowed the floor to be wet and that our client had slipped due to water on her footwear as it had been raining. As our client had walked across a large carpeted area before the steps and then the tiled floor, it was highly unlikely that her footwear would have been wet and caused our client to slip.
We issued Court proceedings on behalf of our client. She already had a history of back problems before the accident and the accident caused further pain.
The Outcome
Shortly after we issued Court proceedings, our client settled her claim for the sum of £3000.
