Cycling Accident Injury Claim

Our client was cycling on a road in Warwickshire when his front wheel went into a pothole causing him to be thrown over the handlebars of his bicycle sustaining liability.

Liability was admitted by the Council. Our client suffered with a fracture to his little finger as well as a soft tissue injury to his ring finger of his dominant hand, cuts and grazes and was left with slight scarring to his face and knee.
He was off work for 3 months. We obtained a report from a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. His little finger would always have some stiffness and he was left was reduced grip. He also had damage to his bicycle, clothing and helmet.
The Outcome
Our client settled his claim for just over ÂŁ17,000 which included his wage loss claim and cost to repair his bicycle and replace his damaged clothing and helmet.
