Helping our local community
As well as boosting the local economy by employing nearly 100 staff across our four offices, we show our support to our community and the environment through our commitment to corporate social responsibility. Our corporate social responsibility policy outlines the measures we take as a firm to reduce our impact on the local environment. It also details the positive impact we make through our initiatives for our clients, our staff and the environment.
We also act for trade unions and union members on a variety of legal matters helping to maintain close links with local people.
Our clients and staff
We are continually striving to improve the service our clients receive, giving them a high quality client experience at the same time as creating a friendly and supportive working environment for our staff. We are also an equal opportunities employer.
We support both local and national charities through a variety of charity events, voluntary work and donations. We have supported:
- Cancer Research UK
- Clarity – Employment for Blind People
- Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust
- Douglas Macmillan Hospice
- Guide Dogs for the Blind
- Keele Concert Society
- National Blind Children’s Society
- SBA – The Solicitors’ Charity.
Following a nomination process and vote amongst staff we have adopted the Douglas Macmillan Hospice as our chosen charity and will focus our fundraising efforts for that cause.
We also support local sporting initiatives through sponsorship of clubs such as Knypersley Cricket Club, Leek Cricket Club, Onneley Golf Club and Wolstanton Golf Club.
We are committed to using local suppliers wherever possible, thus supporting the local economy and also helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
We have recently undertaken several environmental initiatives, such as providing recycling facilities in all of our offices and using IT to our advantage to reduce the amount of paper we produce.
