On Wednesday 9th September 2015, Circus Starr comes to Macclesfield with a brand new tour for the Autumn. The breath-taking line-up of acts includes internationally acclaimed Mexican clown and performer Chico Rico, Las Chicas Morales performing a mesmerising display of balance and dexterity on Rolling Globes, The Kenyan Warriors and The fabulous Serik Brothers will take your breath away with a daredevil display of aerial acrobatics on Chinese poles and straps, all proudly presented by the great… Ringmaster Robert Price!
Circus Starr is a touring circus featuring acrobats, dancers and entertainers from across the globe. It is also an independent, charitable organisation that supports disabled, underprivileged and vulnerable children across the UK through a 75 venue tour held three times a year.
Circus Starr Director, Neville Wilson comments, “The children we invite to our shows face many challenges. Some have physical disabilities or learning difficulties, others have life limiting illnesses or are living in refuges. For all of them, life is a struggle and few ever have the chance to experience a live show such as ours. We simply could not do this without the support we receive from Macclesfield businesses from the big corporations to the sole traders; every donation we receive makes a difference to these children’s lives.”
Big Top Autumn Tour 2015 from Circus Starr will be bringing the magic of circus to more than 27,000 children and their families across 27 locations.
After 28 years of successful touring, we continue to work tirelessly to keep our shows fresh and original, making sure our audiences come back again and again!
Circus Starr launched as a Social Enterprise and became a Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2010. Circus Starr operates a unique Donated Ticket Programme that enables thousands of children to attend free circus shows thanks to the generous support of local businesses who, in turn, enjoy the opportunity to ‘give back’ to their communities. Through their unique network of partner charities and local businesses, it provides over £1.3 million worth of free tickets to children, their families and community groups throughout the UK every year.
