Tinsdills, a well-established and progressive firm serving North Staffordshire and South Cheshire, is seeking a talented Legal Secretary for our Sandbach office.

As a leading legal firm in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire, we are looking for a dynamic Legal Secretary to join our Sandbach team.

You’ll play a crucial role supporting both our Wills, Trust & Probate and Commercial Property departments, working collaboratively with experienced professionals to deliver exceptional client service.

Hours:  Full time: Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

Responsible to: Head of Department

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • To deliver an efficient cost-effective secretarial service to the department and the clients of the Firm under limited supervision.
  • To produce standard / non-standard / complex documentation with a high level of accuracy under limited supervision
  • To deliver services of the highest standard in a cost-efficient manner
  • Liaise, communicate and co-operate with all departments and fee earners
  • Communicate with clients efficiently and knowledgeably both over the telephone and in person where appropriate.
  • Accurately record and communicate messages both internally and to clients / external third parties
  • Ensure the database is accurate for all current clients and matters under their control
  • Promotion of all services offered by the firm to clients and prospective clients
  • Providing cover to other departments within the business on an as and when required basis.

Experience and Training:

  • Experience in the legal services area (preferably within the Wills, Trust and Probate field) would be an advantage but is not essential as long as you can demonstrate similar / relevant experience or aptitude.

Your Skills:

  • As a member of a small team, you will need to work in an accurate way under time pressures.
  • You will need to be a good communicator in a team environment, be highly literate and have good IT skills.
  • Efficient time management – you are able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
  • Friendly persona and a good team player.
  • Computer literate.
  • Experienced in the use of all Microsoft products.
  • Well organised and excellent communication skills are essential.
