A legal company with a proven track record of developing its staff has been nominated for a prestigious industry award.
Tinsdills Solicitors which has four bases throughout North Staffordshire and South Cheshire has been recognised for its work in investing in and training apprentices. The company has trained several apprentices over the past 5 years all of whom have excelled through a rigorous training programme ahead of target.
This nomination comes at a time when the company, which has over 350 years experience in serving the area, is celebrating a decade of achieving the prestigious ‘Investors In People’ accolade.
The company has been nominated for the ‘Employer of the Year’ award by training provider Performance Through People (PTP). The awards ceremony will take place on the 15th February when the winners will be announced that evening.
PTP Training has been providing high quality training throughout the Midlands to various companies for over forty years and have been graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for their partnership engagement.
Jane Massey, HR Manager said ‘We are committed to supporting young people and giving them the skills in the workplace to allow them to excel. We believe our staff and the expert knowledge that they have are our strongest assets.’
Tim Cogan, Managing Director said ‘All of our staff are engaged in delivering and supporting the legal services we provide to meet our clients’ needs. The future of our company depends on developing a highly skilled workforce who will be able to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.
Rachel McDowell, Sales and Marketing Coordinator at PTP Training said ‘Tinsdills Solicitors have always been a champion for apprentices. They have recruited several young people over the last few years. What makes Tinsdills stand out is the support and dedication given to the progression of the learner.
All of the apprentices that have completed their programmes have progressed from Admin apprentices to legal secretaries, and this is down to the training programme and support given by the firm.
Tinsdills and PTP work to the same high standards in making sure the work on the qualification is completed to the highest standard and that the learner is actually progressing and growing. The training from PTP is very much integrated with the training from Tinsdills’
